We currently have alot of fresh roses in the house. I thought since everyone is showing flowers I would show some also. How about some of those Texas flowers that should be blooming all over Texas. Y'all should show some pics as well.

Grandma's Rose Bushes

Remember Grandma's rosebushes around her house in KC ....take a look at them today. There was a total of 3 of them... they are so loaded I had to put some bars to keep them from hitting the ground. Haven't had time to work in my flower garden yet.... maybe this weekend.

Ropers Confirmation on Thursday night

Here is Roper with the Bishop after his confirmation. It was a nice ceremony. The bishop talked about his trip last week to see the Pope and help celebrate his birthday at the Whitehouse. He also celebrated mass Yankee Stadium with the Pope..and said it was one of the most moving masses he had ever celebrated. Wish I could have visited with him more. He is also is working very closely with the sect situation going on in San Angelo in helping getting the children put in homes. I know it looks like Roper had a yellow tshirt on under his shirt...no tellin'.

Happy Birthday Alice!

Today is my mom's 55th Birthday! We just spent a fun weekend in Scottsdale, AZ - pool, spa, shopping, fine dining and hiking. We hiked up Cholla Trail on Camelback Mountain yesterday. Websites say "Cholla Trail is only recommended for experienced hikers and has steep, rocky sections with drop-offs on both sides of the trail." Not bad for 55, Mom!

I want to let everyone know that we are planning a graduation party for Ryan on Saturday evening, May 17 in Austin. (Georgetown) Our plans are tentative, but we are going to party at Linda and Tom's house. I will call the Comfort Suites in Georgetown and ask for a group rate...this is the same location that several of us stayed in when Theresa graduated. Please let me know if any of you are interested in getting a room there. I will be sending invitations out soon. Hope you can make it!
