ILLNESS AND HOSPITALIZATION

Just a quick note to let you all know that Betty Martinez went to the emergency room last wednesday with vomiting and stomach pains. She went home that night but was not getting better. Brenda took her back to the Emergency room on Thursday and was admitted for tests. As of this morning (Saturday) she has had an upper GI and a Cat scan. According to Brenda, she still has stomach pain, vomiting, and dehydration, and has not gotten any better.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family for a speedy recovery. I will post again when we hear any news.

Here are a few pics from last night - DJ AM (famous DJ that plays in Vegas) was in town so we went to the party. Anyways, Spud Webb and Jose Canseco were there (not together). Jose Canseco was real weird and even in his pics looks like he's feeling good...Haha, good times!

Ropers truck

Here is Roper's new truck.(well it's not new ---but to him it is ) He got this last Wednesday and I haven't seen much of him. He hasn't let it cool off. It's a diesel and it has a cummins motor in it so he plans to do some heavy duty hauling in it.(Maybe Grandpa and Grandma) ha!! Its been a rough week for this mom watching him drive himself to school and stuff. I knew this was coming but nothing ever prepares you as a mom to let your little birdy get wings and fly off.
I haven't followed him once ( like I said I would ) .

NEW GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER

Eddie and Elise Martinez have a new great granddaughter. Haylie Rose Cypert, daughter of Jason and Emily Cypert of Canton, Texas was born Friday, March 16, 2007 at 12:05 p.m. She weighed in at 8 lbs and 1 oz. She also has a big brother Austin who will be three in May. Jason is the son of Lori Duckett, daughter of Elise and Eddie.

LUCK OF THE IRISH

Talk about the luck of the Irish, today is Sam Lee Martinez' birthday!! Yes That March 17 day comes around again for Sam, son of Dan and Betty Martinez for about the Forty something ( I know how many but we'll let everone else find out) time. Of course He and I and my two, Vicki and Amanda also share the same middle names as well. Let's all wish Sam and Saint Patrick another Happy Birthday!!

ESCOBARS & MALDONADOS COME TO VISIT

The Escobars and Maldonados came to visit in Hemet, Ca March 10,11,& 12th along with the Rudy Martinez'. They are now on the way to San Diego. Justin Timberlake AfterParty @ Ghostbar!

Last night was the Timberlake concert here in Dallas! To make a long story short, Mike & I ended up at his private afterparty at Ghostbar which was so fun! The concert was one of the best, too. I danced the whole time...I shook Justin's hand, but no pics were allowed of him.

However, I did manage to meet and get a pic withTony Romo, QB of the Cowboys, and he was super nice!! Very down-to-earth.
