JESSICA'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

I AM POSTING THIS PICTURE FOR DENNIS AND JOYCE. MONDAY WAS JESSICA'S FIRST DAY AT KINDERGARTEN...SURE BRINGS OUT LOTS OF EMOTIONS WHEN YOUR BABY STARTS SCHOOL. JESSICA SAID SHE HAD FUN AND LEARNED LOTS OF RULES. SHE WAS DECKED OUT WITH HER "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL" BACKPACK. ANYWAY, DENNIS AND JOYCE SURVIVED THE FIRST DAY AND SO DID JESSICA!

Dads brother

Just a quick note to let those of you who knew Dads brother , Willie, passed away today.

He had been sick for about a month now and there was nothing more they could do for him and his lungs.

GOOD NEWS..........

Good news....... Mom called this morning and said Dad was responding wonderfully to the Predisone.He took his first dose of 60mil. yesterday and felt alot different in a matter of hours. He felt so much better today he wanted to go see his brother Willie (who is sick) in Wichita Falls. He even wanted to go mow the yard in town. Told him he couldn't . He was even arguing with mom that he could. So the doctor told us if he responded well with predisone then she had probably diagonosed the sickness correct. Hopefully he can gain some of the weight back he had lost and feel out alittle . I am sure with the predisone he will. Mom said he was looking in the refrig. for something to eat...thats a good sign.

Have a good week! School starts tomorrow here. Roper is NOT READY...... says he is too smart for school.

Joe-POLYMYALGIA RHEAUMATICA????????

Here is a website I found today after visiting with the doctor of infectious disease. This is something she thinks Daddy is suffering from . She went ahead and did some blood test for lead poisioning,,,some sort of cancer cell...... and some other. She has to rule out things one at at time. She prescribed a high dosage of predisone for dad to start on and it should help with his stiffness.

After reading all the symptoms this is exactly what Dad is dealing with. Hopefullyhe will feel better by Monday . If not he is to let her know and they will admit him to the hospital for scans and more test. In one week I can see the difference in Daddy's face. I have never seen him look like this...or hurt like this. He is walking like an 82 yr. old. ...... Hard to see. On the funny side....Daddy in describing his symptoms told the young female doctor his 'MEAT" hurt and she cracked up and couldn't quit laughing....and mom explained that he meant his muscles but in spanish they say "carne" and dad interepeted in english ...to MEAT!! She apologized for laughing but said she couldn't help it!!

If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Otherwise keep him and mom in your prayers. They have been taking Lunesta to help sleep....and Dad doesn't sleep ,,and mom , if she takes one --dreams wild dreams and so no telling what kind of stories u will hear!!!!

We got a report from the internist that Dads bloodwork all came out well. That is meaning he does not have Arthiritis,,,plus he tested negative for West Nile Disease. So now we have an appointment Friday with the infectious disease doctor here in Abilene. Hopefully she can give us some answers. Daddy is still having continous pain especially in his shoulders. Mother took him to the doctor in KC and she gave him a shot of steroids in each shoulder. I am not crazy about that but mother doesn't know what else to do ....since he cannot sleep with all the pain. Will keep you posted.

UPDATE ON JOE AND EVA

Mom and Dad came up to Abilene....yesterday. Mom read all the post with her anniversary wishes. She enjoyed them!

Mom went and got her pain management shot.... she hates them and is having a a hard time dealing with the after effects of them. She says she would rather be in pain.

Most of yall know Dad has been sick for over a month now. Seem he woke up one day ,,,,could barely get out of bed. Felt like he had the flu....but he had no fever. He has gone to his local doctor ..only to get some sort of shots....and some blood test . Nothing has been found so yesterday we took him to an internist. He is going to do some blood test for some muscular diseases......but is referring us to a infectious disease doctor. His symptoms: ( fatigue,,,no muscle strength, chills,,, constipation,, and nerve pain,,,) all came on too quick, and points to an infectious disease. Daddy had pulled up carpet at Grandma's house the day before he woke up and felt so bad. I am thinking the same thing. If u type inthe symtoms of lead poisioning ,,,those are the exact symtoms Dad has. Some people told Dad he was just getting old...but he knows better.... u just don't wake up one day ...and can't move.

Anyway just thought I would give u an update on Mom and DAd.

Since there hasn't been any news on the blog I thought I would start some action.
I guess most of you remember my dog Peetie, at least some of you who may have visited
us in the 90's anyway. Here are a couple of pictures we took way back sometime in the 90's.

Peetie was my great pal. Gosh it's been so long a go but I think she died in around 99 0r 2000.
I have a big picture on my wall to remind me of her but I still really miss her.

Ok people if you don't want to see me and my bitch you had better come up with some new
blog posting and or pictures. That's all for now. "And I don't mind saying so!!!!"

Gary's project

Here is Gary's latest project . He is building a new storage shed. I think it will be so stout that we will be able to get in it during a tornado and be safe. Notice he put a porch in front..... I am telling mom and dad that is their quarters when they want to spend the night!!
