Spring Wildflowers
Rolling hills between Hemet & Temecula, CA
Green Hills near Hemet
Hello Everyone. I thought I would just break the monotony and show some scenes in our area. The winter and spring rains bring new growth to our hills that maybe you had seen here when everything was dry, brown and ugly during summer and fall. Anyway, we are well and would like to see some pictures from everyone else. I notice a lot of you do not post very much anymore. Well, I for one would like to keep everyone blogging, not from just a few but from everyone. Surely there must be some news in someone's families. This doesn't mean you're in everyone elses business. If there is gossip, you can keep those on landlines, cell phones, or texting, if you don't want to know everyone's business, but I'm sure there are kids or grandkids that may have won an award or someone's birthday, that could share with the rest of the family clan. Maybe someone has a picnic or family gathering and you have some pictures, just put them on the blog. I'm sure that if you can't figure out to get them on the blog, I'm sure that there are a few who know how to so just email them to whomever you know how to put the pictures on and I'm pretty sure someone would help you put them on. Well, so much for my goings on, our news is usually going to the doctor's. Not that we are always sick, because we aren't, but I guess our healthcare wants to keep us healthy so we won't get sick. Good luck, health and happiness to all of you.

Happy Easter from The Johnsons!
All I need to know
I learned from the Easter Bunny!
Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
There's no such thing as too much candy.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
A cute tail attracts a lot of attention.
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
Some body parts should be floppy.
Keep your paws off of other people's jelly beans.
Good things come in small, sugar coated packages.
The grass is always greener in someone else's basket.
To show your true colors, you have to come out of the shell.
The best things in life are still sweet and gooey.
May the joy of the season fill your heart.
AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU!
Happy Easter!

Happy 60th Birthday to Tom
Today is Tom's 60th Birthday. He didn't want a big celebration so we just had a quiet week-end at home. This is at the Oasis on Lake Travis back in October when the lake was at it lowest in years. We plan to go back out soon and post another photo because the lake is now 100% full since all of the rain we've had since fall. So watch for the next photo, we will try to get the photo in the same spot!
Anyway, had to post a happy birthday to Tom, 60 years young.

Today is Teresa Bilbo's birthday. Let us all wish her a very Happy Birthday. I'm trying to remember how old she is by remembering my own life events but I think she was born in 1964. Anyway, whichever, she still looks young and vibrant. Happy Birthday Teresa.

Dr's report
Hello,
Here is mom's dr. report. As you know after the accident a bunch of xrays were run on mom for different reasons. On one of her lung xrays a spot was found . Last week she had a CT scan of it. Today we went to the lung dr.and he recommends seeing a surgeon to remove the spot which is about a half inch long . We do know that it wasn't there a week ago . Its not big enough to do a petscan ,which we could see if it is cancerous or not . So the only real alternative is surgery to remove it and do a biopsy on it . This could be a blessing in disquise if it is cancer because at this stage it is about 80% curable... ! If we wait and see it could grow alot faster than we know and then we would be in worse shape.
Any questions? Yes,,she is worried and ofcourse she doesn't really want to have surgery but we'll see. Next week we go see a surgeon to see what he recommends.

WINTERTIME IN SO CAL
Finally this week we received rain and snow in Southern California. We received about 4 to 5 inches in our area. Some areas especially near the mountains received as mus as close to twenty inches and tons of snow in the mountains. Above us near Hemet is Mt San Jacinto, 10,834 feet, the second highest mountain in Southern California.
Another shot of Mt San Jacinto.
This is a telephoto shot of Mt. San Jacinto. Palm Springs is on the Eastern side of this mountain range.
Another telephoto shot of Mt San Jacinto. You can almost see the trees covered with snow. It is about twenty miles as the crow flies from our house. I don't know why, but the blogger only lets me take four pictures at a time.

SHE'S BACK!
Just so everyone is aware. Speedy Gonzales is back! Mom and Dad got their ride today. So things should be back to normal . Roper was over there today for a little while to visit before he goes back to school. He is transferring to Tarleton which is in Stephenville near Fort Worth. Its an Aggie College. Oh well... maybe this one will take..
Gary is working in the oil field patch again . He is working in Odessa at a place where they build oil rigs. We are very thankful...this area is DEAD , DEAD, when it comes to jobs. So he is living in Odessa and I am here in Hawley.
Go Cowboys!
