Finally this week we received rain and snow in Southern California. We received about 4 to 5 inches in our area. Some areas especially near the mountains received as mus as close to twenty inches and tons of snow in the mountains. Above us near Hemet is Mt San Jacinto, 10,834 feet, the second highest mountain in Southern California.
Another shot of Mt San Jacinto.
This is a telephoto shot of Mt. San Jacinto. Palm Springs is on the Eastern side of this mountain range.
Another telephoto shot of Mt San Jacinto. You can almost see the trees covered with snow. It is about twenty miles as the crow flies from our house. I don't know why, but the blogger only lets me take four pictures at a time.

Wow...when you zoom in those pics you can really see the snow covered trees. I thought those mountains were clouds at first!
