Mom has the shingles in case anyone doesnt' know .
She has been hurtin with her neck for about a week.. then her arm .She went to the dr. on Monday and he told her it was a muscle .. Gave her muscle relaxers... next day she was stilll in pain ... her and dad found a sore on her back. Doc confirmed it on Thurs. Gave her meds and she was still inpretty bad pain this morning.

Shingles is a very painful disease. It is brought on by the chicken pox virus that lies dormant for a long time, then reappears sometime later. Both Elise and I have had the shingles vaccine about a year ago. I would urge everyone to get the shingles vaccine as soon as you can, especially when you get to be middle aged and older. I believe Kirk had it in his eye and mother had it as well as Dan and Bobby.
I've had it several times. Mine are internal.. so I don't experience the pain as much . I am def. going to get me the vaccine. I got them back in June when Gary took off to Nevada to work and when I drove up there I had them. Mine were in my nose and outside the nostrils.
