"Wish they all could be CALIFORNIA Girls..."

Hi everyone!

As most of you know, I will be moving to a land of palm trees, sunny skies, and beautiful beaches. Yes, Santa Monica, California has decided to steal me from Texas!
In less than a day, I will be on a plane with a one way ticket to begin a new little adventure in my life. An amazing opportunity with Google was just too good to pass up. I will be working with the entertainment & movie studios helping them with rich media Internet ads. I have a great place ONE mile from the beach and plan on riding my bike to work! I absolutely love it out there. I love wearing my longhorn gear out there, too..
Texas is my home, always. Born and raised. While I am really excited, I will miss 3 things very much: My parents, my friends and good Mexican food.
It means the world to me to have everyone's support. I am sooo blessed to have such a great family! Maybe we can even have a reunion out there..

See ya'll Thanksgiving! (and yes, I will always use that word!)

Love,
Lindsay

I am so ABSOLUTELY proud of you , Lindsay. You are making a great move that is probably a little bittersweet considering things like you parents, friends...etc. Why do the Martinez's always seem to be pulled out further west...
Have fun, enjoy it all...and always know where your home is!!!
Maybe we will see ya at Thanksgiving.
Who knows......a quick weekend trip to Santa Monica for me ..hahaha.
Be safe............

Great Move Lins. I used to work almost to Santa Monica years ago, (Near Olympic and Bundy Drive). Loved it then. It may take a year to get used to it here but once you do You'll really love it. Your cousin Greg lives real close in W LA. Hey don't worry about Mexican food, we have tons of places around here. Why almost all cities and streets have spanish names around here for a reason. Anyway, once you get settled, maybe we can come and visit you, although we're still about 100 miles away. I'm sure your mom will be visiting often. Welcome to Sunny Cal and the great weather. I'm sure you won't miss the hot summers.
