For the kids!!

Google is hosting an art competition called Doodle 4 Google.

Today is the official launch of the competition where we'll invite K-12 students
across the U.S. to design their own version of the Google logo. One
lucky student will have his or her doodle on the Google homepage for a
day (May 22nd). The winner will also receive a $10,000 college
scholarship, laptop, and computer equipment for their school. Prizes
for finalists include trips to the Googleplex and T-shirts featuring
their doodles.

Children can participate only through schools that register for the competition.
Please reach out to any elementary or secondary teacher (Grades K-12)
that might be interested in Doodle 4 Google and let them know about
the competition. Ask them to visit www.google.com/doodle4google. We
want as many kids to get the chance to participate as possible!

Registration for schools closes on 3/28/08. Public
entries must be postmarked by 4/12/08,
