We drove to Houston today to attend Matthew's first birthday party and we also celebrated Phillip's birthday. Linda and Tom, Ryan and Rachelle, and of course Justin and Theresa also celebrated with us. Justin and Theresa hosted Matthew's cute 1st birthday party and there were many friends and neighbors in attendance. Then we went out for beer and margaritas for Phillip's celebration! Happy birthday Phillip!

Mom told me to make sure to post on the blog that today was her daddy's birthday....she called me back just to tell me that so I thought I better post it. Happy Birthday , Grandpa ...He would have been 111...today . My memory is always of the LIFESAVERS in his khaki shirt and he never really wanted me and David going fishing with him because we made too much noise but Grandma always insisted he take us . :-)

Happy Birthday to our fabulous daughter Jessica, she celebrated last night by having a red carpet event birthday, many celebrities were in the house and we had food, games and a DJ. Jessica was the glamorous artist Jennifer Lopez, Happy Birthday to our little J-Lo we love you!!!!

Just in case you are out of the loop...here is the scoop . Dad put mom in the hospital this Monday. Her legs were swollen and she was out of breath and energy like she is alot here lately. They gave her some Lasix....and a pint of blood. We tried and I have not known why the doctor has not tried to rush her into getting a pacemaker. I finally talked the doc into using her standing as her doc to call Abilene to see if there was a sooner appt we could get before the 11th. SO she called and guess what " there was an appt. available the very next day " . So she took it ...when she came and told mom and me we told her we couldn't do the next day because mom is on COUMADIN... hmm ... Mom has to be off the Coumadin for 6 days... When we were talking sooner we were talking something along those lines.
Anyway she's home ... she is feeling alittle better . She has been told not to do anything ...but just sit around . I imagine that phone is 'HOT ' .... Her blood count was better ... She said she was teaching dad to work the washing machine and they ordered MEALS ON WHEELS for the next few days until the surgery.
On the 11th ...at Abilene Regional ... they will have moms pacemaker put in ..and dads angiogram done. Moms procedure is at 1:30 and dads at 3:30 I believe.
Dads peppers probably got frozen last night but here he is with two peppers he was so proud of ...so i took a picture. Gary has got the majority of the peppers...and he has LOVED them .
