Rita's donor

Hi guys, 
Just wanted to share that I emailed the daughter of Rita's liver donor. She responded and we have been communicating thru email and facebook. She is so excited to get to talk to some of Ms.Rita's family as she says. She is also excited and can't wait to meet Rita. She has been going thru my FB and looking at all our family pics. 
She sent me a pic of her family ...with her dad about 2 years before he passed . I will forward her email if you would like to communicate with her . She would love to hear from anyone connected to Rita.

Happy 6 month birthday Matthew!

Matthew turned 6 months old on Saturday, August 20th.  I can't believe how time flies! He is 20 lbs 3.3 ounces and 29 inches long! Definitely a big boy! He is rolling over and sitting up and grabbing everything! We will have to start baby proofing soon.

Family Get Together at Brenda and Al's

Phillip and I are in Santa Monica this week. Brenda and Al hosted a family backyard party for everyone to get together. Eddie, Elise, Greg, Rudy and Lila, and Michaela and Tamara, Larry and Amanda, Teresa , Steve, Liz, Tommy, and Joey, Betty, and of course Brenda and Al, Jeff and Mason, and Lindsay and Nate joined us. Hope I didn't miss anyone. We had lots of good food and drinks. It was so fun getting to see everyone. Special thank you to Brenda and Al for hosting. Eva's birthday lunch !

Mom was surprised with a birthday lunch in Abilene. We had a great visit. We went to the mall afterwards and did alittle shopping and then the finale was while we were singing mom "Happy Birthday" a guy came up and kissed her and told her she did not look 81 ... hahaha. She said she smelled alcohol on his breath. haha.
