Christmas Lights at Incarnate Word

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share some pictures from the beginning of December when Justin and I went to see the lights at Incarnate Word (my old college).  Every year they have Light the Way and there are more than a million lights in the trees! Pretty cool to walk through.  We are going to Cleveland (where Justin is from) for Christmas so I will definitely post some snow pictures! Happy Holidays! Love, Theresa and Justin

Eva's doctors visit on Friday

Mom had a follow up visit for an EKG on Friday. Her heart rythm was alot better. The nurse looked at the reading and was happy with it . Looks like the meds she started taking Wed. were already helping . She has not felt very peppy lately and Friday when her and Dad were in town she said she had to STOP.... cause her legs just gave out..at Walmart. Ofcourse she had already been to Michaels...and Ross's....
Dad and I are trying to make her let someone else decorate the church for Christmas but she is TO HARDHEADED and thinks she is the only one that knows how!!
We go back Monday for a Coumadin test, and she will have an heart monitor put back on .

Eva's doctors visit

Mom went to her heart doctor today. So she told me to post what was told to us cause she is alittle confused.
We went back to get the results from her stress test. The stress test showed she has some irratiation in the front part of her heart. She had two options.... just let it go ...hope nothing happens...or go into the hospital and have a catheter ablation to see how much blockage she has...and if she has alot then they would go in and do a procedure such as a stint.

Next... she has arial fibillation......which is a crazy heartbeat.... fast...and fluttery.... and in order to slow it down he wants her on coumadin...and she went ahead and got the prescription,,,and also he put her on Rythmol-225mg. She had a EKG today and it shows her abnormal hearbeat....She really didn't want to be on Coumadin but we made the decision to go ahead today. Her doctor really thought she needed it more than just a plain asprin.
So now she comes back on Friday for another EKG.... , again on Monday,,, the 15th a halter monitor, and another EKG....and a coumadin test,,and EKG on the 17th, ,
Are u confused yet??? Cause I am ..... basically she is at risk for a heart attack with the first diagnosis,,,and a stroke with the latter.

She doesn't want to but I think we need to go ahead and have the catheter ablation done.

Update on Rita Monday, Nov 24

Rita is still in the hospital as of tonight. She is so ready to go home. She is waiting for the pulmonary doctor to release her. I think she still has some fluid on her right lung and they won't release her until that dr says it's ok. Let's hope she makes it home before Thursday.

Update on Rita Nov 22

Well, Rita is still in the hospital. I talked to her today and she seems to be doing well. All her test results are good and she is waiting to leave. Maybe on Sunday she will go home. Today they were giving her magnesium but other than that, not much else going on. I think she is very ready to go home.

New edition to the family!

Proud to announce that Joe and Eva have thier second great grandchild....Lindsay Dawn....born today to Brittany and Zac Bobo. She has a sister , Alyssa. She is Davids second grandchild.

Update on Rita

Rita is still in the hospital. She is in Plaza Medical Hospital... Room 435...the phone # is 817-336-2100..you can reach her room directly by entering ext. 6435. They are giving her lasix to remove all the fluid. She told me tonight they want to do a colonoscopy and endoscopy maybe on Friday.

News from Fort Worth

Well just wanted to let you know that Rita had to go to the hospital today. Her bloodwork showed high levels of potassium. So her dr's office called and instructed her to go to the emergency room. Long story short....after x rays they found she has some fluid on her lungs and in her stomach. She seemed fine when I left and only had the little oxygen tubes in her nose. She said she had been very short of breath lately so I guess now we know why! High potassium levels in your blood can cause serious heart problems if you don't seek medical treatment. So she is right where she needs to be so she can take care of that! Not sure what the phone numbers are there but if they keep her for a few days I will post the number tomorrow evening. Keep Rita in your prayers and I will update tomorrow.

Hey everyone Daddy finally got his hearing aids yesterday! Yea--------------- . Now he is talking back to Mom ...like crazy. He used to just nod...but now he tells her back!! Ha!! Ha!!

He really needed them bad and I am so happy we finally got them done. It took a lot of time and paperwork but it is worth it I am soooooo sure. So now when u call he will not say : " talk to mama" .."can't hear" !

I Left My Heart in Santa Monica

Well after a long week, I made it back home minus 1 baby girl. Got Lindsay set up in her new place...with a little help. Jeff (Brenda' son) and his cute girlfriend came to help me move some furniture and set up the tvs. They saved the day for me! Lindsay and I were overwhelmed with all the work we had to do to get all the boxes unpacked. But we got it done...and it looks great. We also met Greg (Eddie's son) for dinner one night and had a great time visiting with him. Isn't he handsome? Must be the genes! haha Ok, all you relatives in California...watch over my baby girl!

"Wish they all could be CALIFORNIA Girls..."

Hi everyone!

As most of you know, I will be moving to a land of palm trees, sunny skies, and beautiful beaches. Yes, Santa Monica, California has decided to steal me from Texas!
In less than a day, I will be on a plane with a one way ticket to begin a new little adventure in my life. An amazing opportunity with Google was just too good to pass up. I will be working with the entertainment & movie studios helping them with rich media Internet ads. I have a great place ONE mile from the beach and plan on riding my bike to work! I absolutely love it out there. I love wearing my longhorn gear out there, too..
Texas is my home, always. Born and raised. While I am really excited, I will miss 3 things very much: My parents, my friends and good Mexican food.
It means the world to me to have everyone's support. I am sooo blessed to have such a great family! Maybe we can even have a reunion out there..

Everyone Please Say a little Prayer for 4 (Victor IV)

Victor IV had a little accident on his dirt bike this past weekend. He has 7 fractured vertabrae in his upper back. He has 3 spine and neck and back injury specialists taking care of him and they feel he will make a full recovery without surgery. He will be in a chest/back brace for several weeks.

Today he looks much better, and hopefully he will be released by Thursday or Friday. He is turning 14 on Nov. 17th. Just please mention him in all your prayers for a speedy recovery. Thanks to all in the family.

• I BELIEVE THE 6TH , WHICH WAS MONDAY WAS TAMRA'S BIRTHDAY. MICHAELA DAGUHTER,,,ERICA'S GRANDAUGHTER. I DIDN'T HAVE A RECENT PICTURE SO I DIDN'T POST ANYTHING ON IT ....S O WE CAN STILL WISH HER A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
• JOE SHOULD BE GETTING HIS HEARING AIDS ON THE 16TH---YEAH!
• MOM IS GETTING HER FIRST COLONSCOPY ON THURSDAY- we will see how that goes!
