We had Thanksgiving her at my house. Everyone had plenty to eat ..way too much food. Dad had a great day with the Cowboys win. Everyone wants to know how mom's pacemaker is doing ... David sent me this pic ....said " pacemaker is working fine" . See what they do to my mom when i'm not around .

Jessica's 10th Birthday....

Happy Birthday to our fabulous daughter Jessica, she celebrated last night by having a red carpet event birthday, many celebrities were in the house and we had food, games and a DJ. Jessica was the glamorous artist Jennifer Lopez, Happy Birthday to our little J-Lo we love you!!!!

Just in case you are out of the loop...here is the scoop . Dad put mom in the hospital this Monday. Her legs were swollen and she was out of breath and energy like she is alot here lately. They gave her some Lasix....and a pint of blood. We tried and I have not known why the doctor has not tried to rush her into getting a pacemaker. I finally talked the doc into using her standing as her doc to call Abilene to see if there was a sooner appt we could get before the 11th. SO she called and guess what " there was an appt. available the very next day " . So she took it ...when she came and told mom and me we told her we couldn't do the next day because mom is on COUMADIN... hmm ... Mom has to be off the Coumadin for 6 days... When we were talking sooner we were talking something along those lines.
Anyway she's home ... she is feeling alittle better . She has been told not to do anything ...but just sit around . I imagine that phone is 'HOT ' .... Her blood count was better ... She said she was teaching dad to work the washing machine and they ordered MEALS ON WHEELS for the next few days until the surgery.
On the 11th ...at Abilene Regional ... they will have moms pacemaker put in ..and dads angiogram done. Moms procedure is at 1:30 and dads at 3:30 I believe.
Dads peppers probably got frozen last night but here he is with two peppers he was so proud of ...so i took a picture. Gary has got the majority of the peppers...and he has LOVED them .

Happy 60th Birthday Sis!

Happy 60th birthday today to my wonderful sister who still looks ....well let's just say "60" looks damn good on her!! Cheers to Linda...a great wife, mom, sister, grandmother, and friend. So happy to have her in my life!

Matthew is 8 months old today!

How time flies and my baby is becoming a big boy! He is crawling and loves to stand.  He claps (though he wasn't in clapping mood today) and sits up from lying down.  He says mama a little though I don't think in reference to me.  He is 24 pounds and wearing 18 month clothing! And he puts everything in his mouth (except baby food).  He is growing up so fast! Baby proofing is in full swing now!

Our Second Wedding Anniversary

Justin and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary on October 17th.  He is in Africa currently so we did not have a proper celebration, but we will when he gets home.  He mentioned nobody posted it on the blog (cough, cough, MOM) so I thought I would! So happy second anniversary to my amazing husband! I love you!

Hi guys, 
Just wanted to share that I emailed the daughter of Rita's liver donor. She responded and we have been communicating thru email and facebook. She is so excited to get to talk to some of Ms.Rita's family as she says. She is also excited and can't wait to meet Rita. She has been going thru my FB and looking at all our family pics. 
She sent me a pic of her family ...with her dad about 2 years before he passed . I will forward her email if you would like to communicate with her . She would love to hear from anyone connected to Rita.

Happy 6 month birthday Matthew!

Matthew turned 6 months old on Saturday, August 20th.  I can't believe how time flies! He is 20 lbs 3.3 ounces and 29 inches long! Definitely a big boy! He is rolling over and sitting up and grabbing everything! We will have to start baby proofing soon.

Family Get Together at Brenda and Al's

Phillip and I are in Santa Monica this week. Brenda and Al hosted a family backyard party for everyone to get together. Mom was surprised with a birthday lunch in Abilene. We had a great visit. We went to the mall afterwards and did alittle shopping and then the finale was while we were singing mom "Happy Birthday" a guy came up and kissed her and told her she did not look 81 ... hahaha. She said she smelled alcohol on his breath. haha.
